Jammu, July 7
The Jammu and Kashmir Government has decided to open all public parks for the general public across the Union Territory (UT) from tomorrow.
The decision has been taken amidst the gradual unlocking process of the Covid-19 pandemic as a follow-up of Lieutenant-Governor (L-G) Girish Chandra Murmu’s directions to reopen the tourism sector in J&K.
“We have decided to open all public parks from tomorrow. All visitors should strictly observe the already given protocols and medical advice related to Covid-19. We will ensure thermal screening of all visitors and no unfit visitor would be allowed to enter the parks,” said Baseer Ahmad Khan, Adviser to the L-G.
The UT administration had closed all parks and gardens across Jammu and Kashmir in the second week of March following the outbreak of COVID-19.
