A total of 5,59,135 candidates will sit the exam for the recruitment of 4002 police constables. The exam will be held in three phases.

The exam is being done through J&K Services Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB). Chairperson SSRB Indu Kanwal Chib on Friday said the exams will be held on December 1, 8 and 22.

A J-K government spokesperson said UT’s Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo on Friday chaired a meeting of the civil administration and Police Department to take stock of the preparations made by Deputy Commissioners.
