Petrol bomb hurled at place of worship

Srinagar: Unidentified miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a place of worship of a minority community in Srinagar’s old city, officials said. The incident took place on Sunday and there was no report of any major damage to the place of worship. The police said they had started investigation and suspected it to be the handiwork of some drug addicts. “Drug addicts usually roam the area where the incident took place and we suspect them to be involved in the act. We are looking for the culprits,” a police officer said. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
