PM urged to appoint Sikh adviser to L-G

Jammu, March 17

Several Sikh organisations on Monday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah to appoint a Sikh community member as the Adviser to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir.

During a meeting of Sikh groups under the chairmanship of Mohinder Singh, chief organiser, Bhai Kanhaiya Nishkam Sewa Society, J&K, the representatives of various organisations unanimously demanded for the induction of a Sikh in the advisory body to the Lt-Governor of J&K, so that the genuine problems of the community could be put before the L-G. — TNS
