Police recover 35 stolen phones worth over Rs 7 lakh
In a significant achievement, the Jammu police on Saturday informed that it has successfully recovered 35 smartphones valued at over seven lakh rupees under the aegis of ‘Operation Reconnect.’
A police statement described the recovery as a “significant stride towards public service,” highlighting the successful restoration of not just devices but also the emotional connections attached to them for the citizens of Jammu.
The operation, which spanned the past two months, saw the dedicated efforts of the specialised tech team from Jammu police’s Headquarter Zone. The team meticulously traced, located and recovered the lost smartphones from various parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the police, these smartphones had been reported missing at different police stations and border police posts within the Headquarter Zone.
The recovered devices were returned to their rightful owners in a ceremony. The citizens expressed gratitude to Jammu & Kashmir Police,
