Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said August 5 had become a special date in the history of India as the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and Ram Mandir in Ayodhya were associated with it.

“It was on August 5 two years ago that the country had further strengthened the spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ by abrogating Article 370, making every right and facility available to every citizen of Jammu and Kashmir,” the Prime

Minister said, addressing beneficiaries of the Prime Minister-Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana in

the poll-bound state of Uttar Pradesh.
