Property attached under UAPA in Sopore
J&K Police attached a single-storey house along with a single-storied poultry farm under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in North Kashmir’s Sopore district on Friday, a police spokesperson said.
This action was taken in the estate of Rakhi Sultanpora Sumbal under Section 25 of the UAPA in a case registered at the Sopore police station.
“The attachment was carried out in the presence of a duly constituted police team and the Executive Magistrate, ensuring strict compliance with all legal procedures,” the spokesperson said.
“This step marks a crucial advancement in the investigation of unlawful and subversive activities in the region, highlighting Sopore police’s dedication to countering threats to national security and promoting peace and stability,” he added.
Today’s action comes a day after the Kulgam police attached a damaged double-storied house, which was used by terrorists for their shelter and stay in addition to all other logistic support provided by the owner.
