The Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) today appealed to all MPs to raise their voice for the release of Sheikh Abdul Rashid.
AIP vice-president GN Shaheen said Rashid was summoned to Delhi and detained under false charges on August 5, 2019. “Despite being held in custody, he contested and won the parliamentary elections. However, he has not been allowed to attend even a single session of the Lok Sabha,” Shaheen said.
Shaheen warned what was happening with Rashid “could happen to any of you (MPs) tomorrow”.
