Srinagar, July 3
Even as political activities are yet to resume after the abrogation of Article 370 last year, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav is scheduled to visit Kashmir shortly.
Party leaders say Madhav will take stock of party activities ahead of crucial decisions on delimitation and resumption of political activities.
“Though dates have not been finalised, we are expecting him in the Valley anytime in the coming week or so. This will be his first visit here after the Covid-19 pandemic. He will take stock of party activities as we await announcement on delimitation of parliamentary and Assembly constituencies before elections take place. We are also hopeful that political activities will shortly resume here,” BJP media incharge Manzoor Bhat told The Tribune.
Madhav, who is considered to be the BJP’s point man in J&K, has so far visited the Valley twice after the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5 last year.
During his visit on October 20 last year, he had stated that political parties would only be allowed to do ‘routine politics’ like seeking restoration of statehood to J&K.
