Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister (CM) Omar Abdullah assured on Friday that the government was fully prepared to tackle the situation as the weather department forecasted a heavy spell of snowfall in the coming days. Responding to queries in Srinagar, when asked about the weather forecast, the CM confidently stated, “We will deal with it.”
“Preparations are in place. We have had several meetings, and we also have gained experience from the last snowfall.
Where the work was effective previously, it will continue, and where there were shortcomings or weaknesses, they will be addressed,” he added.
Regarding the electricity situation, Abdullah assured the public that there had been improvement this year. He stated, “Whatever could be done is being done. There are, however, cuts at times, but efforts are being made to provide electricity according to the schedule.”
