The Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) president Syed Altaf Bukhari on Thursday urged the government to completely revoke “SRO 202”, saying it was “detrimental” to the youth of the UT.

“The modified version of the SRO 202 by virtue of which, the probation period of fresh recruits in the government sector has been reduced from five to two years should be applied to all those candidates who have already applied for government posts and are held up at various stages of the recruitment process since 2015. The decision to withdraw and re-advertise its posts is detrimental to lakhs of youths who have applied for jobs since 2015 and are awaiting written tests and interviews,” Bukhari said. — TNS
