Revoke termination order of paramedics: Sikh body

The Sikh United Front J&K, an amalgam of various organisations, has flayed the Union Territory administration for terminating the services of 181 paramedics and staff nurses. It has sought the revocation of the termination orders.

“The decision of issuing orders for the termination of 181 paramedics and staff nurses is highly condemnable. We demand immediate revocation of such orders as they are discriminatory and against the public interest,” Sudershan Singh Wazir, chairman of the Front, said during a meeting.

“It is unfortunate that when there is a dire need for frontline warriors, the authorities are disengaging medically trained persons despite the health department facing an acute shortage of such staff. We request the L-G of the J&K UT to personally intervene and revoke the termination orders,” said Mohinder Singh, chief organiser, Bhai Kaniya Nishkam Sewa Society, J&K.
