“Senior officers laid emphasis on adopting a multi-agency approach in order to foster coordination among various departments and create a unified front against potential challenges,” an official said.

“Our commitment to public safety is unwavering. This meeting aimed to fine-tune our preparations and leverage the expertise of our dedicated officers to guarantee a secure environment for all attendees,” Pathak said.

“As the city prepares for these major events, the police force remains vigilant and ready to adapt to evolving circumstances, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for residents and visitors alike,” the official added.

Meanwhile, Benam Tosh, Samba Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), on Friday chaired a security review in which officials from multiple security and intelligence agencies were present.

The meeting was attended by officers of the Army, BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, GRP, Traffic, SOG, military intelligence and CID among others.

A detailed discussion on various security challenges in the district was held at the meeting and a comprehensive strategy was chalked out to effectively respond the critical situations.

The SSP asked the officers to share inputs, past experiences, suggestions and requirements, if any, relating to Republic Day functions to be held at several locations in Samba district on January 22. He said the officers must ensure alertness, work in tandem and share intelligence inputs to foil the nefarious designs of anti-national elements and their mentors across the International Border.
