Security review meeting held ahead of Jhiri Mela

Jammu Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Joginder Singh held a security and traffic review meeting at Jhiri ahead of the popular ‘mela’ in the area.

“The SSP held a security and traffic review meeting at Jhiri to ensure a peaceful and incident-free event. The meeting was attended by SP Rural Jammu, SDM Marh, SDPO Marh, DSP Traffic Rural Jammu, officers from the civil administration, SHOs of police stations Kanachak and Domana, as well as officers from the BSF, Army, members of the Jhiri temple managing committee, and other stakeholders participated in detailed discussions,” an official informed.

The primary focus was on implementing effective security measures, managing traffic flow, organising parking facilities and ensuring crowd control. Emergency response protocols and interdepartmental coordination were also reviewed to facilitate safety and smooth movement for the large number of attendees expected.
