Sharnarthi panel seeks redressal of grievances

A four-member delegation of the Jammu & Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) called upon Simranjeet Singh, Secretary (DM&RRR) UT of J&K and demanding redressal of grievances.

Led by Gurdev Singh, president of the committee, along with members Roshan Lal, Tarlok Singh Tara and Charanjit Lal urged the UT administration to speed up the implementation of relief package.

The delegation expressed their gratitude to the administration for issuing an order for the payment of relief of Rs 5.5 lakh to all those displaced people from PoJK who left the state after 1947 and went to other states of India in search of food and shelter.

The delegation appealed Lt Governor GC Murmu for adequate compensation for their properties, reservation for wards of displaced, defreezing of 8 Assembly seats, besides other issues as per the JPC report.
