Shiv Sena (UBT) vows to rename Mughal Road
Shiv Sena (UBT), Jammu and Kashmir unit, has expanded its manifesto and resolved to change the name of Mughal Road, name of Jammu and Srinagar airports and broadcast a digital Dogri channel and establish a Dogra museum at Katra.
In a press conference held today at Jammu Press Club, party state president Manish Sahni released party’s new manifesto and said that some more suggestions received from the public have been given place in it.
Mughal Road connecting Rajouri-Poonch of Jammu division to Kashmir has been promised to be renamed as Maharaja Gulab Singh Marg after the late Dogra ruler.
“Jammu airport will be named after Maharaja Hari Singh and Srinagar airport will be named after Professor Balraj Madhok. Along with this, to promote Dogra cultural identity, a Dogra museum will be established in the holy city of Katra and 24x7 digital Dogri channel will be broadcast” he said.
“Our historical and ancient places should be named after the heroes of J&K and Dogra rulers. Our party founder Balasaheb Thackeray has taught his Shiv Sainiks to raise their voice for their cultural identity and the rights of the local people,” said Sahni.
