General Officer Commanding (GOC), Kilo Force, Maj-Gen Ashok Singh pinned the coveted Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card on Superintendent of Police, Sopore, Javaid Iqbal Mir on Friday.

Deputy Inspector General, North Kashmir, Sulemaan Choudhary, and Brigadier Vivek Narang, Commander, 5 Sector Rashtriya Rifles at Ganju House, were present at the function in Sopore.

The GOC, Kilo Force, complimented Javaid Iqbal on behalf of the GOC-in-C, Northern Command, and GOC, Chinar Corps, for his utmost dedication and commitment towards the cause of combating terrorism, a statement read. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
