Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua, Mohita Sharma, ordered their dismissal with immediate effect after their alleged complicity came to light. The two policemen are accused of extending support to terrorists.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, while speaking to mediapersons about the termination of government employees in recent times, said such actions did not begin after 2019. He pointed out that it was Mehbooba Mufti, former Chief Minister and president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had first initiated dismissals of government employees during her tenure.

“This party has only brought destruction to the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” Omar alleged.
