During the meeting, various topics were addressed, such as party operations, organizational initiatives, challenges encountered by the citizens, and most importantly, the impending assembly elections, the party said, adding that the “economic crisis, unemployment rates, inflation surge, and ongoing party activities were also highlighted by the party functionaries.”

The spokesperson said, “Participants expressed deep concern over the government’s negligence towards the citizens, as essential services that were once readily available are now scarce despite public outcry.”

“The continuous cancellation of recruitment processes was condemned, as it only serves to exacerbate the frustration and hopelessness felt by the youth,” the spokesperson said.

It noted that Omar Abdullah emphasised on the importance of unity within the party and maintaining strong connections with the public to ensure the success of party candidates in the upcoming parliamentary elections. He stressed that the National Conference draws its strength from the collaboration and support of the people, making them the cornerstone of the party’s vision.

The party said Abdullah reiterated that the party’s ability to serve the public and represent the interests of all three regions hinges on its strength. “Therefore, it is imperative to prioritise the party’s growth and work diligently towards achieving common goals, he said. “The National Conference remains committed to its founding principle of empowering the people and will continue to uphold this belief steadfastly.”
