The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday said it has busted a terrorist hideout in South Kashmir’s Awantipora in a government school building. A police offical said that Awantipora Police along with Army’s 42 RR and CRPF have busted a terrorist hideout in Awantipora area and recovered ammunition and explosives.
Police said acting on a specific input, security forces launched a meticulous combing operation in the Larmoh area falling under the jurisdiction of Awantipora police station.
During the search operation, police said a terrorist hideout was discovered from Government Middle School, Larmoh, and incriminating material including one grenade, one under barrel grenade launcher, were recovered from the hideout. Police said that material used in fabricating an IED was also recovered.
According to police, a case has been registered under relevant sections of law at Awantipora Police Station.
