Dean Students Welfare, Prof Jasbir Singh, and chairman, campus cultural committee, Prof Yash Pal Sharma awarded certificates to participants of the workshop, which was conducted by Sumeet Sharma and coordinated by Ifra Kak. Children who participated in the workshop included Kamya Langer, Jigisha Thusoo, Tasmia Sohrab, Manvi Bhushan, Parishrut Chahal, Vihaan Aditya Gupta, Chinmay Pandita, , Aarav Koundal, Arnav Koundal, Nasr Haq, Shiva Gupta, Harshan Tikoo, Krishang Langer, Raghav Barnwal, Joshita Singh, Avantika Surivanshi, Saavi Singh, Dhruv Partap Singh, Aashman Mansotra and Pragati.
Best Principal of the Year award
Ritesh Kapoor, administrator-cum-acting Principal, ASN Higher Secondary School, Channi Himmat, received the “Best Principal of the Year” award for his contribution in the field of education. He was awarded at the Constitution Club, New Delhi, on January 11 at a function organised by the Education Council of India, New Delhi. Ritesh was also awarded the “Dynamic Principal Award” by the Edufeed Foundation on the occasion of the National Conference on Education at Law Bhawan, Chandigarh.
Road safety awareness rally
The Motor Vehicle Department (MVD), Kathua, on Tuesday organised a Road Safety Awareness Rally/ Walkathon to celebrate 31st Road Safety Week. Students from various government schools, colleges of Kathua, NCC cadets, volunteers from NGOs and students of Jammu Sanskriti School participated in the rally which was flagged off by OP Bhagat, Deputy Commissioner along with Shridhar Patil, SSP, Kathua. Students of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua,carried placards and banners on road safety traffic rules.
