Jammu, October 23
The traffic movement was restored on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), Mughal Road and also NH-244 on Monday. The NH-44 was closed on Sunday for repair works at Dalwas in Ramban district that had witnessed severe landslides due to rains recently. The NH-244 and the Mughal Road were shut due to heavy snowfall in the upper reaches on Sunday.
A Kishtwar official said the NH-244 was opened for light motor vehicles on Kishtwar-Anantnag route and its timing to cross Parna checkpost, Chingam, was 9 am to 3 pm.
Ramban Deputy Commissioner Mussarat Islam said the traffic on NH-44 was restored after widening and repair of the road stretch in Dalwas area.
