Transfer of land discussed for civil terminal in Leh

Leh Deputy Commissioner Santosh Sukhadeve convened a meeting regarding transfer of land for construction of civil terminal at Thoise Airport, Nubra. During the meeting the Airport Authority informed about the additional requirement of 1.5 acre land from Air Force to Civil Airport at Thoise. The Deputy Commissioner mentioned that compensation in lieu of the land will be calculated and will be paid by the UT administration. It was discussed that approximately Rs 18 lakh compensation will be paid to the Air Force. Officers from Airport Authority and Air Force agreed to the terms and were directed to share formal documents. The DC assured to process the file timely.
