Bodies of two girls, who had drowned in a river in Poonch a day before, were recovered from Chajjala area on Sunday. They have been identified as Rifat (8) and Aliya (10).

A boy, Azhar (9), too had almost drowned but was rescued by the Army on Saturday.

The mishap took place when the trio were taking a bath in Mendhar river near Dhaki Bridge. The Army unit in Mendhar had been searching for them since the Saturday mishap.
