Two Nigerians held for fraud with Baramulla man

The cyber police have arrested two Nigerians from New Delhi for allegedly duping a man of Rs 36.35 lakh. A Baramulla resident complained that someone, through Facebook, posed as an official of a well-known company and lured him into initiating a business with the firm.

He deposited Rs 36.35 lakh in different bank accounts. Later, he lodged a complaint following which Isioma Steven and Collins were arrested from New Delhi.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
