Two policemen suspended in Ramban for corruption
Jammu: Two traffic policemen, including an assistant sub-inspector (ASI), were suspended after allegations of bribery in Ramban on Monday. A video of ASI Bini Kumar and Selection Grade Constable Mohammed Latief went viral in which the two were reportedly seen taking bribe from a driver on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. As per the information, a departmental inquiry has been initiated against the duo. OC
RPF sub-inspector injured in accidental fire in Jammu
Jammu: A sub-inspector (SI) of the Railway Protection Force (RPF) was injured due to an accidental fire when he was exiting the Jammu railway station on Monday. SI Sudhir Kumar was hit by gunfire from SPO Harbajan Singh’s AK-47 rifle who was handling the said weapon while taking charge from the previous sentry. The injured was shifted to the GMC Hospital in Jammu.
