The Kashmir University has postponed all examinations that were scheduled to be held on Monday in the wake of inclement weather conditions.
Kashmir received heavy snowfall on Friday and Saturday, resulting in some areas of the valley getting cut off. While snow has been cleared from main highways and arterial roads, the work is still on in some of the remote areas of the Union Territory.
The information was shared by the varsity in a statement on Sunday. The varsity has informed that fresh date for these examinations will be issued later.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board also postponed the OMR based examinations for the posts of Junior Stenographers/Junior Scale Stenographers (Shift I) and Steno-Typists (Shift II) scheduled for Sunday.
The examination will now be held on December 21.
According to a notification issued by the Controller of Examinations, SSB, the timings for the examinations, examination venues and shifts of the examinations shall remain same. Besides, admit cards already issued will remain valid for these examinations.
