Jalandhar: As many as 52 men and 30 women recruits from across the state were inducted as constables in the Punjab Police during a passing-out parade of the 174th batch, held at the Punjab Armed Police (PAP) ground on Friday. The newly-inducted recruits had earlier served the armed forces. Though it usually takes nine months of gruesome training and teachings to be finally recruited as constable, due to Covid-19 pandemic, the training this time continued for almost a year and these ex-servicemen of various armed battalions on Friday pledged to perform their duties whole-heartedly in the Punjab Police.
