As schools are closed, a 10-year-old boy from the city has utilised his free time by contributing to social awareness against coronavirus by developing and launching a portal with the name of www.coronafreeworld.com.

Meedhansh Kumar Gupta said he would try to collect positive news, along with his parents, from different social resources and would put them on his portal in different sections such as blogs, videos and news. “Sometimes, we find good news which makes a person positive and generates hope for a better tomorrow. We would use the portal to spread the news as much as possible. Hence, I decided to develop a worldwide portal where with a single click, any kind of news could be shared around the world. Through the website, I want to stop this virus from spreading further and making a fear-free and happier world again,” said the boy, who, along with his parents, addressed the media.

His parents Sandeep Kumar Gupta and Monika Gupta said they too contributed and helped him to develop the portal. “We have also provided an idea box on the portal where anybody can put their suggestions and ideas to help fight the deadly virus,” they said.

The proud parents shared that their son had bagged two records for developing two different websites 21stjune.com and gsssjianchabbewal.com at the age of nine.

“While one record was registered with the India Book of Records, the other got registered with the World Records India for these achievements. He was also felicitated last month by Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma. He was called by the European Asian Chamber of Commerce and felicitated as the youngest entrepreneur in the International Business Networking event held in October 2019.
