The second day of the District Badminton Championship being organised at Raizada Hansraj Stadium remained very hectic with as many as 105 matches were played on a single day. All the five courts of the plush indoor stadium remained packed throughout the day for more than 12 hours with back-to-back matches. Pre-quarterfinals and quarterfinals of both girls and boys in various categories were held during the today.
In quarterfinals of girls singles (U-17), Liza Tank beat Prisha Kapoor 21-7, 21-2, Manya beat Japneet 21-5, 21-4, Samridhi beat Kritika 21-10, 21-10 and Trisha Puri got a walkover from Yashika.
In pre-quarterfinals of boys singles U-15, Ishaan Sharma beat Vedant 21-6, 21-5. Eshvir beat Parth 21-12, 22-20. Abhishek beat Aditya 21-7, 21-8. Shivansh beat Achyut 21-19, 21-13. Samrath beat Anish 21-19, 21-16. Viraj beat Sharshav 21-14, 21-15. Ashwin beat Danish 21-13, 22-20. Divyum beat Anvay 21-4, 21-2.
In quarterfinals of girls singles U-15, Gauri beat Shania 21-17, 22-20. Unnati beat Gursimar 21-9, 21-7. Sachi Sobti beat Taarni 21-5, 21-2. Samridhi Bhardwaj got a bye.
In quarterfinals of boys U-13, Virar beat Ajitesh 21-9, 21-3. Viren beat Prathamnoor 21-19, 21-15. Zoravar Singh beat Tanish Khanna 21-9, 21-11. Geetansh beat Aarav 21-4, 21-5.
