11 participate in NCC CAMP

Jalandhar: Cadets of State Public School, Jalandhar Cantt, brought laurels to the school by performing well in the training camp. In the combined annual training camp, 11 cadets participated from DAV University, under the guidance of Commanding Officer Vinod Joshi and Caretaker Tutor Officer Harjinder Kaur. Cadet Karmdani participated in volleyball competition and bagged silver medal. Cadets Mansi, Harsh Kumar, Sachin Kumar, Gaurav Dogra, Sneha, Ankita Kumari and Anuj Kumar participated in various sports and cultural programmes. This 10-day camp has been completed under 2 Punjab Battalion Jalandhar. The president and vice-president of Group of State Public Schools, Narotam Singh and Gagandeep Kaur, along with Savina Bahl, exhorted the students to come forward and do the needful for society.

Exploring Brussels and Paris

Under the banner of Vasal Education, students from Cambridge International School (Dasuya), Gems Cambridge International School (Hoshiarpur) and Ivy World School (Jalandhar) undertook an educational trip to Brussels and Paris. The journey, spanning over six days and seven nights, was designed to extend students’ perspectives by providing them with practical learning opportunities and cultural interactions. The journey began in Brussels, where the students delved into the heart of European politics and culture. The students received first-hand insight into the rich diversity of the city by visits to famous attractions, including the Grand Place, the Mannekin Pis statue, the Herge Museum, Mini Europe, and the Euro Space Centre. Students’ knowledge of global citizenship was increased by engaging in stimulating discussions during guided tours throughout the day and interactive media projects in the evening. Continuing their adventure in Paris, students marvelled at the city’s artistic treasures and historical landmarks. From the Louvre Museum’s renowned artworks to the Eiffel Tower, each day offered profound learning experiences. The highlight of the trip was meeting Jawed Ashraf, the High Commissioner of India to France. The students enjoyed a cordial interaction and a delightful high tea organised by Ashraf.

Students shine in University Results

Students of St Soldier Institute of Engineering and Technology performed well in university exams. Among those who scored well in mechanical engineering (semester VIII) are Rakesh Kumar (9.0 CGPA), Prince Kumar (8.5), Inderjit Suman (8.0), Savej (9.0), Sheershak Sharma (8.0), Shivam Rai (9.0), Akash Semwal (8.0), Ankush Dhiman (8.0), Gurjit Singh (8.0), Harvinder Singh (8.0), Hem Raj (8.0), Lalit Kumar (8.0), Mohit (8.0), Mukul Mehra (8.0), Narinder Singh (8.5), Onkar Singh (8.5). In electronic and communication engineering, Simran Kumari got 8.0 CGPA, Ankita (9.0), Abhijit Mandla (9.0), Raghu Raja (8.0), Bachitra Ram (8.5), Karan Dhiman 9 (9.0), Sajan (8.5), Gurmeet Kaur (9.0), Manish Kumar (9.0), Rajwinder Kaur (9.0), Rishabh Aggarwal (9.0), Sahil (9.0), and Sameer Dugg (9.0). Students of computer science engineering scored the following CGPA: Kajal (9.00), Aditya Jha (9.0), Lalit (9.0), Manjot Kaur (9.0), Rajvir Kaur (10.0), Sahil (9.0), Sunil Kumar (9.0), Saroj (9.0), Palvi (9.0), Shaveta Koundal (10.0), Alka (9.0), and Chandni (9.0). Group Chairman Anil Chopra and Vice-Chairperson Sangeeta Chopra congratulated them.

Students take part in Phonetics Activity

Under the guidance of the management and Principal Ravi Suta, a phonetics activity was organised for students of Class LKG of CJS Public School. The kids performed the activity by speaking the phonetic sounds of the alphabets and picking the objects related to it. The students performed the activity enthusiastically with the use of placards. Chairperson Neena Mittal and Principal Ravi Suta appreciated the students’ creativity and exhorted them to indulge in such extra-curricular activities.
