12 NIT-Jalandhar students get ~52L package

The National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jalandhar, has set a new benchmark in campus placements as some of the most prominent tech giants and public sector undertakings have offered its students good packages.
The placement season saw top technology firms like Google, Amazon, Atlassian, Oracle and Microsoft extending offers to NIT-Jalandhar students. Google and Amazon offered the highest package of 52 lakh per annum, establishing a new high for the institute.
A total of 12 students have got the Rs 52 lakh package. Of these, nine will join Amazon and three Google.
Public sector giants such as Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Engineers India Ltd, C-Dot and Hindustan Mittal Energy Ltd (HMEL) also participated, emphasising the institute’s connections with key industry players.
In addition to tech and public sector companies, core sector stalwarts, including Maruti Suzuki Ltd, Hyundai Motors, Ashok Leyland, Hero Motors, Trident, Arvind Mills, Airtel and Reliance Industries, made their presence on the campus, giving a diverse range of opportunities available to the NIT graduates.
The placement drive saw an overall placement percentage of over 88.78 for B Tech students, with an impressive average annual package of Rs 9.78 LPA.
