15 schools take part in edu-cum-science fair
The education-cum-science fair-2025, which was held recently at the GNA University, Phagwara, brought together students, educators and science enthusiasts for a day filled with innovations and learning. More than 15 CBSE and ICSE affiliated schools from Hoshiarpur district participated in it. It showcased a range of student projects, interactive science exhibits and expert discussions, leaving a lasting impact on all who attended.
The fair featured over 870 students and 40-plus student projects, covering a wide variety of scientific fields — from renewable energy solutions to advancements in health and technology, robotics and automation technology, hospitality, animation multimedia and pharmaceutical sciences. These projects not only highlighted the immense creativity and talent of young minds, but also emphasised the importance of fostering scientific curiosity in today’s education system. The event also offered live demonstrations, hands-on workshops and insightful talks from scientists and educators.
“It was truly inspiring to see the level of enthusiasm and innovation on display. The fair has proven that our students are not only curious, but also equipped with the knowledge and skills to contribute meaningfully to the future of science and education,” Chancellor Gurdeep Singh Sihra, GNA University, said.
On this occasion, Hemant Sharma, Vice-Chancellor of GNA University, took a round of the exhibition and science fair and appreciated the school students’ technical skills. Kunal Bains, registrar, GNA University, Monika Hanspal, dean academics, CR Tripathy, dean engineering and automation, were also present on the occasion.
