Two persons were arrested with 109 intoxicating tablets during the ongoing Yudh Nashian Virudh drive in Jalandhar.

DSP, Shahkot, Onkar Singh Brar, said during a patrol by a police party under ASI Balvir Chand, Lohian police station, the police saw a black motorcycle coming from the village Ghudduwal side with two men on it. On suspicion, the police apprehended the two men. Upon a search, the police found 109 tablets in their possession. The duo was arrested by the police. The two accused have been identified as Sonu Singh, resident of village Toti at Sultanpur Lodhi in Kapurthala, and Amritpal Singh, resident of Phul Ghudduwal village at Lohian in Jalandhar. Along with 109 tablets, the police also impounded the motorbike.

A case under Sections 22, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act has been registered against them at Lohian police station.
