Two persons, who stole a motorcycle, a mobile and Rs 10,000 from a man, were arrested by the Jalandhar Rural Police.

DSP Shahkot Onkar Singh Brar said on December 16, 2024, accused identified as Manpreet Singh, resident of Mandala village in Lohian, was travelling on his bike (PB 08 EU 4521) to Mandala village from Lohian.

Three men on a bike suddenly came, threatened him with a datar (sharp-edged weapon), robbed him of Rs 10,000 cash, his mobile and his bike and fled.

An FIR was registered on December 17 under Sections 304, 3 (5) of the BNS against the duo at Lohian.

The duo have been identified as Gurvinder Singh, resident of Kasuwala in Makkhu at Ferozepur and Gurjant Singh, resident of Lallewal, Makkhu, at Ferozepur. The duo have been arrested.

The stolen mobile and motorcycle was also recovered by the police.
