The exhibition is being organised by Mummaplease, an event management firm, in collaboration with Jalandhar Municipal Corporation. AAP minister Mohinder Bhagat was the chief guest at the opening ceremony. Among the major attraction at the exhibition were standees in the shape of hockey, ‘trishul’, butterfly and a peacock readied using flowers of different colours.

Several organisations, institutions and private companies had put up their stalls at the event. A variety of potted petunias, pansies, marigolds, dahlias, chrysanthemums, candytufts, salvias and poppies had been put on display for buyers to take a pick.

The Cantonment Board had also put up a stall of bonsais of ficus, banyan and peepal, which were only for display and not for sale. The experts at the staff, however, explained techniques of growing bonsais to the visitors at the exhibition.

The students from the Department of Agriculture of Lovely Professional University had put up a stall, where they sold packets of organic compose readied by them for a minimal price of Rs 10 per kg. They put up samples of huge size winter vegetables, including radishes, turnips etc., which they had produced in the fields on the campus. The stall also showcased items, including key chains, costers and trays readied by them in resin embedded with fresh flowers and leaves.
