The event was graced by NRIs, who are committed to ensuring grassroots development in their villages. Punjab NRI Affairs Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal highlighted the role of NRIs in the state’s socio-economic progress. He said he was concerned and committed to doing his part in the ministry.

There were a total of six sessions, which saw diverse and enriching presentations. The speakers spoke on the causes of international migration. They all agreed to the point that migration is not the disease itself, rather it’s a symptom of the larger socio-economic and agrarian distress. A larger report based on the discussion will be released soon, touching everything that the seminar has offered.
