2 drug peddlers nabbed with ~2 crore heroin

Acting on a tip-off, the Special Task Force (STF) of the Punjab Police apprehended two ‘drug smugglers’ in a meticulously planned operation at 66ft Road near Curo Mall. The operation, conducted by STF officers, led to the seizure of 353 gram of heroin with an estimated international market value of about Rs 2 crore.
STF Sub-Inspector Parveen Singh provided the details of the arrest, stating that the team received credible information about two persons in a white car were reportedly going to supply drugs in a locality based at 66ft road. Acting swiftly on the intelligence, the STF team laid a naka at the specified location.
Upon arrival, the officers detained the two suspects and conducted a search of their vehicle, resulting in the seizure of the substantial quantity of heroin. The arrested individuals have been identified as Sahil and Rajveer, both residents of Pholriwal village.
Following their arrest, the duo was taken into custody for further interrogation. Officials said forward and backward links of those arrested would be investigated, besides they would be questioned about the person or group they were about to deliver the consignment to.
