2 held with 60 kg poppy husk
The police have arrested two persons with 60 kg of poppy husk.
Commissioner of Police Swapan Sharma said during patrolling near Patwari Dhaba on Kot Kallan Road, a police team spotted Baldev Singh of Kot Muhammad village of Moga. He said upon searching, 40 kg of poppy husk was seized from his possession. He has been booked under Sections 15, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act.
Sharma said during interrogation, Baldev revealed the involvement of another individual in drug trade.
He said the police conducted further searches and apprehended Angrej Singh of the same village. He said additional 20 kg of poppy husk was seized from him.
