In a move aimed at expediting the operationalisation of the blood bank at Sub-Divisional Hospital Phagwara, Kapurthala Civil Surgeon Dr Rajeev Parashar has constituted a two-member inspection committee.

The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to streamline and ensure the prompt launch of essential health services at the facility.

Providing details, Dr Parashar stated that the committee conducted an inspection of the blood bank and is in the process of submitting its report. The committee comprises Dr Kapil Dogra, District Dental Health Officer and Dr Prem Kumar, Senior Medical Officer, Kapurthala.

During the visit, they were accompanied by Dr Parminder Kaur, Senior Medical Officer at Phagwara. The inspection focused on assessing existing challenges and identifying measures needed for the swift activation of blood bank services.

Dr Parashar emphasised the health department’s commitment to providing quality medical services to the people of Kapurthala district. He assured that all obstacles hindering the functioning of the Phagwara blood bank will be addressed at the earliest and the services will be made available to patients without delay.
