Jalandhar, February 24
The Jalandhar rural police arrested two vehicle thieves and recovered a stolen motorcycle from their possession. The suspects were planning to sell the vehicle in Jalandhar.
The police said they got a tip-off that Saurabh, alias Soba, a resident of Khurdpur in Adampur, Jalandhar, and Sandeep Kumar, alias Sona, a resident of Khurdpur and presently living in Damunda, stole a motorcycle from Hoshiarpur yesterday. The suspects, who were habitual thieves, were coming to Jalandhar to sell the two-wheeler.
After getting information, the police held a naka and apprehended the duo. The police also recovered the stolen motorcycle from their possession.
A case under Sections 379 and 411 of the IPC was registered against the suspects at the Adampur police station. The police said the duo would be presented in the court.
