2 new Covid cases reported in Jalandhar district

Jalandhar: The health authorities reported two fresh positive cases in the district on Thursday. With this, the tally increased to 63,130 cases. The authorities reported no Covid-related death in the district today. The toll stands at 1,490. As many as 61,584 people recovered from the virus in the district. At present, there are 56 active cases in Jalandhar. The authorities in Kapurthala reported no fresh cases and death today. The tally stands at 17,761 in the district. TNS

Creativity on display

Jalandhar: The city-based NGO for the destitute children, EduYouth Foundation (Regd) organised an online drawing competition. There were more than 80 registrations from various schools across the state. The children between 7-15 years age group participated in the painting competition. The first position was bagged by Tanish Jhanji (Apeejay School, Jalandhar) followed by Mukti Singh (DAV Centenary Public School, Jagraon), Damanpreet Kaur (Police DAV, Jalandhar), Gursirat Kaur (Delhi Public School, Jalandhar). The most creative painting award was given to Saihejpreet Kaur Sokhi (MGN Public School). The NGO has been operational for the past one year and has taken various initiatives. TNS
