2 RPF personnel killed in mishap
Jalandhar, December 23
Two Railway Protection Force (RPF) Head Constables were killed when the car they were travelling in collided with a truck that was coming from the opposite side in Kartarpur. The deceased have been identified as Raman Kumar (50) and Madan Singh (45).
The Investigation Officer (IO) Joginder Singh said the duo died on the spot. The car was completely damaged after the head-on collision.
The SHO Kartarpur Pushp Bali said the truck was going from Kartarpur to Kishangarh while the car was coming from Kishangarh to Kartarpur when the accident took place.
The driver of the truck, Gurcharan Singh was arrested and a case under Sections 279, 304 (A), and 427 of the IPC has been registered.
The police said the intensity of the collision was so high that only the mangled remains of the car was left after the mishap.— TNS
