The police have arrested two youths accused of snatching a gold chain of a woman in Bholath of Kapurthala district. The accused were produced in court and have been remanded to police custody for two days.

According to the police, the incident took place when the victim, Sukhwinder Kaur, was returning home from her village Kamraie. She was allegedly targeted by two young men on a motorcycle without a number plate. The assailants reportedly snatched her gold chain and fled the scene.

Upon receiving the complaint, the Bholath police launched an investigation and apprehended the suspects within a short period.

The accused have been identified as Varinder, alias Sunny, and Deepak Kumar, both residents of Ambgarh, Kartarpur. ASI Manjit Singh confirmed that a case has been registered against the duo and that further questioning is underway.

The police are also investigating whether the accused have any prior criminal records or links to similar incidents in the region.
