According to initial reports, the attackers began hurling bricks and stones at the house, causing extensive damage and panic among residents. They then entered the premises and launched a brutal assault on Bhushan. The incident, which was captured on CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity, has provided crucial leads for investigators.

Inspector Sonamdeep Kaur of the Sultanpur Lodhi police station confirmed that a case has been registered under Sections 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt, assault, or wrongful restraint), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. Six individuals — Gagan, Ajay, Vikki, Vishal, Daler, and Bhalla, all residents of Sultanpur Lodhi — have been named in the FIR.
