25th Olympian Mohinder Singh Munshi Hockey Tournament begins

The 25th Olympian Mohinder Singh Munshi Hockey Tournament began in a grand manner at the BSF AstroTurf Ground. The tournament was inaugurated by Kumar Gaurav Dhawan, Commissioner Central GST Department. In the matches played on the first day, Army Boys Bangalore, Habri Club Kaithal, Major Dhyan Chand Academy Safai and SAI Delhi teams registered victories.

In the first match, Army Boys Bangalore defeated Dashmesh Club Dhudike 6-0. Prashant Ind scored two goals, Arjun, Manish Manji, Ashiq Surin, Arkit Barla scored one goal each. Arjun of the winning team was declared the best player of the match.

In the second match, Habri Club Kaithal defeated Jarkhar Academy 7-0. Ankur Roar scored a hat-trick by scoring three goals for the winning team, while Puneet Indora, Prince, Navdeep Singh and Sonu scored one goal each. Gurdial Singh of Kaithal was declared the best player of the match.

In the third match, Major Dhyan Chand Academy Safai defeated Sangrur Hockey Academy 3-2 after a tough competition. Nitin Yadav scored two goals for the winning team and Himashu Yadav scored one goal. While Prabhjot Singh and Rajveer Gill scored one goal for Sangrur. Romit Pal of Safai was declared the best player of the match.

In the fourth match, SAI Delhi defeated Himachal Academy 6-0. For the winning team, Lisham Max Singh and Gurpreet Singh scored two goals each, while Sushant Sherawat and Ankush scored one goal each. Lisham Max Singh was declared the best player of the match. Sahib Singh Hundal presided over the ceremony during today’s matches.
