272 home-quarantined in Garhshankar

As part of a drive launched in rural areas by the Public Health Centre (PHC), the Public Health Centre (PHC), Posi, has asked 272 persons to remain home-quarantined to contain the spread of coronavirus in Garhshankar.
Meanwhile, the road to Posi village is closed to all except for the staff and officers posted on duty, but that too secured by police personnel and health department teams. Various teams of the Health Department have been constantly checking the home-quaratined persons thrice a day.
OP Singh, pharmacy officer posted in Moranwali village, said the situation was under control. The family of a person tested positive and those in contact with him have not yet shown symptoms of the infection, they have still been home-quarantined. Stickers were pasted outside the houses of those people who have been home-quarantines so that other people stay away from them.
SMO Dr Raghuveer Singh said, “As of now, 272 persons are home-quarantined. These include persons who came in contact with coronavirus- positive Paathi of Moranwali; those who were in touch with the person who died of Covid-19 in Pathalawa; and those coming from foreign countries. None of them has showed symptoms of coronavirus yet.
Person from Italy slips from kin’ home at Maira:
A person of Guru Ravidas Nagar in Nawanshahar, who came from Italy and was visiting the house of his relatives in Maira village, the relatives informed the team of doctors but as soon as he came to know about it, he escaped from there. After which the team of doctors informed Nawanshahar’s team.
