3 assailants kill youth at Dasuya, another injured
Hoshiarpur, July 26
Three assailants attacked two youths in Dasuya on Friday, leaving a person dead and the other seriously injured.
The injured, Davinder Singh Satti, said he was a resident of Bajwa village and own an earthmover machine. Around 9 am, he was going on his motorcycle with his machine operator Kulwinder Singh (27). Three youths, waiting on the roadside near a village turn, stopped them and attacked operator Kulveer Singh with sharp weapons. When Satti tried to intervene, they attacked him too.
After injuring both of them, the three attackers fled the spot. The passersby helped them and took them to the Civil Hospital where Kulveer Singh died during treatment. The deceased was the only brother of three sisters. DSP Jagdish Raj Atri said the police had registered a case and were investigating it from various angles and the culprits would be arrested soon. The reason behind the attack is yet to be known.
