Three separate loot incidents were reported in Nawanshahr on a single day, with no arrests made yet. The cases occurred in the areas of Aur, Sadar Banga, and City Balachaur.
In the first incident, Chandan Ram, a resident of Aur, filed a complaint with the police stating that he was traveling on his bike when three bike-borne assailants approached him. The rider struck him, causing him to fall. The trio then beat him and stole Rs 1,000, his identity card, and passport. An FIR was filed under Sections 309(6) and 111 of the BNS against the unidentified attackers.
In a second case from Sadar Banga, Vishal Aggarwal, a resident of Jaipur, Rajasthan, reported that he and his friends were traveling towards the Golden Temple, Amritsar. After parking their car to take a nap, three unidentified men on a bike attacked them with sharp-edged weapons, smashing the car’s window. They stole a gold chain, bracelet, cash, voter cards, and passports. An FIR was lodged under Sections 309(6) and 3(5) of the BNS.
The third incident involved Hari Kishan from City Balachaur, who was robbed of Rs 14,000 by three unidentified individuals. An FIR was registered under Section 309(4) of the BNS.
The police are investigating these incidents but have not made any arrests so far.
