The district reported three fresh cases of Covid-19 on Friday, taking the total number to 197.
Giving the information, Civil Surgeon Jasbir Singh said three migrant labourers from Bihar — one of them is 19-year-old and two others are 22-year-old — were reported positive. They were tested for Covid-19 after they reached Saila Khurd town from Bihar.
The Civil Surgeon said the number of active cases in the district was 14 while 176 patients recovered from the disease. Meanwhile, 551 samples of those persons who had flu-like symptoms were taken today. The total number of samples collected so far in the district has increased to 16,705.
Dr Jasbir Singh advised the people to follow the social distancing norm when they stepped out of the house, keep pregnant women and children up to 10-year-old at home and cover mouth and nose with a mask to help prevent the community transmission of the disease. He said the Civil Surgeon’s Office had been sanitised by employees of the anti-larva scheme.
